Professional English
The Program: The objective of this specialization program is to help the students to get familiar with the technical language and jargons used in their field of expertise, their work, or simply in their field of interest. In this program, the students must write a monograph on a topic that is related to their academic background or field of work during the semester, and make a professional presentation of their completed monograph in the Stratford Auditorium at the end of the semester. The program also focuses on several run-of-the-mill professional topics, such as how to write a winning résumé, how to ace a job interview, or how to successfully participate in a business meeting.
